KKES 2025 Games: Blossom House Emerges College, British Academy Champion

Captain of the Blossom, Lilly House and Emerald Houses that came first, second and third positions respectively displaying their trophies at the KKES 2025 Games. The Blossom House also known as the Orange House has emerged as champion of the Kith & Kin Educational Schools’ colleges – KKES International School and KKES British Academy.

Blossom won 14 golds, 14 silver and 15 bronzes to be crowned as the overall best house at a well – attended games event held at the KKES Sports Complex, Kaoli Olusanya Street, Owode – Ibeshe, Ikorodu. It was held on Thursday, last week.

Lilly House (Blue) came second with 12 golds, 7 silver and 9 bronzes; Emerald (Green) placed third with 10 golds, 14 silver and 8 bronzes, while Effodil (Yellow).

Before the games grand finale, students participated in marathon race, 1500m race, Discus, Javelin, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, Chess, Scrabble, Table Tennis, and Football with Emerald (Green House) in the lead after the conclusion of the heat.

But the table was turned after the grand finale where students participated in the March Pass, 100 Metres, 200 Metres, 400 Metres, Sack Race, Hurdles, Fat and Fabulous and 4 x 400 Metres Relay, and the Blossom House (Orange House), which was third with 5 golds, silver and 9 bronzes in the heat, climbed to the first position.

Mr Oluwole Osewa, the Chairman, KKES Parent Teachers Association (PTA), in his remarks at the games, thanked parents for their presence and responses whenever the school called on them.

“A very big thank you for your presence today. It is always wonderful to have parents that always respond whenever they are called upon.

“It is a joyful thing to see all of us around today to share the happy moment together. My prayer is that we will all enjoy the fruit of our labours.

“I am happy that since the event has started there has not been any accident or injury.

“Thank you very much for honouring us and coming around and for being part of the entire programme. God bless you all and see you again at the next year’s inter – house sports,” he said.

“In the invited schools’ race Strong Tower Academy dominated the boys and girls relay winning gold in the two races. Fruitfulview Academy came second in both categories while HOMAT Schools maintained the third positions in both race.

There were also Alumni race, parents’ race and teaching and non – staff race at the well – attended KKES 2025 games.

Other important personalities at the sports festival were Yeye Asiwaju Kemi Olusanya, Executive Director, KKES, Mrs Iyabo Agnes Elusakin, the representative of Mrs Anike Adekanye, Tutor – General, Education District II, and other personalities, executives of PTA and parents.
